Rapid Response is a division of Latitude Catering comprised completely of mobile units that, upon receiving a dispatch from the government, travel across the country, bringing catering services to fire fighters and emergency-relief workers. We have driven as far as Pensacola, Florida to feed folks from our mobile kitchens, but we usually stay west of the Mississippi.

National Fire Contract
Since 1994, Latitude Catering has fulfilled a national contract with the USDA Department of Forestry to feed forest firefighters in the field. Wildfires are unpredictable, and our teams are dispatched to any given location at a moment’s notice (which is why this division is also known as Rapid Response Emergency Services).

In February 2003 our Rapid Response team was dispatched to Hemphill, Texas to cater to the recovery-effort crews involved in recovering the Space Shuttle Columbia. We were there for more than two months, and were very proud to be even a small part of helping our nation heal from this national disaster.

We are proud to be of service to forest firefighters, and they are extremely grateful for the service and food we provide them. It’s a lot of work for our crewmembers, but it is also extremely gratifying.

Hurricane Relief
Latitude Catering has provided meals to emergency service personnel and displaced people after Hurricans Ivan, Katrina, Rita and Ike. Latitude has expanded its reach by joining up with other private emergency service companies to coordinate efforts to assist in any local, state or national emergency.
